I am the Acting General Manager of Anglican Family Care. I have been connected with AFC since 2024, first as a Trustee before stepping into the Acting General Manager role in 2026. My background is in leadership, quality, programme delivery, risk, compliance and operational improvement across social services, finance, health, justice and aviation. Before joining AFC in an operational role, I held national roles with Oranga Tamariki as National Quality Lead and National Programme Manager. I have also worked with Forsyth Barr, with a focus on compliance, resilience and process improvement.
I was drawn to AFC because of its purpose and its commitment to tamariki, whānau and communities across Otago. I am not a social worker, but I care deeply about supporting the people who do this mahi and helping create the conditions where safe, relational and high-quality practice can thrive. I am an Otago MBA graduate and remain committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, relational leadership, and aligning strategy, people and purpose so AFC can continue helping those it serves to thrive.
The most rewarding part of this work is seeing the difference AFC makes through relationships. I value working alongside people who bring compassion, skill and commitment to complex situations.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my whānau, following my children’s sport, reading widely and continuing to learn. I would describe myself as a lifelong learner, with a strong interest in leadership, systems, people and purpose.
